Ghost, the late 80s label synonymous with slinky, bias-cut slip dresses has seen something of a fashion renaissance in recent years. Holly Willoughby, the Duchess of Cambridge and Millie Mackintosh are just some of the celebrities who wear the brand’s beautiful dresses on the reg, and while Ghost still offers those signature ethereal styles as part of a bridal range, the ready-to-wear collection has shifted the focus to wearable, vintage-inspired dresses splashed with the prettiest of prints. They’re undeniably beautiful, but price tags around the £130-£200 mark put them firmly in the mid-range, something-for-a-special-occasion shopping bracket – until now.

Ghost has teamed up with high street giant M&S to launch a 10-piece capsule collection of limited-edition dresses ranging from a much more purse-friendly £59-£79. It launches today, and if the previous selling power of Holly, Millie and co is anything to go by, it won’t be sticking around for long. The dresses have been designed in house by the brand, and you can tell – everything from the peter pan collars to the puff sleeves and exclusive prints is quintessentially Ghost. The designs are classic but modern and, from shift to midi to tea, there’s a dress style to suit everyone, available in sizes 6-16. And, in a seriously cute move by M&S, three of the collection’s hero styles will be available in mini-me versions in sizes 6-14 years.

This may be a high street hook-up, but long-lasting design is at the heart of the collab, using high-quality fabrics finished with Ghost’s unique garment dye process for a luxe, silk-like finish. Just like a mainline Ghost number, you’ll have these dresses in your wardrobe forever.
