M&S Launch Extremely Chocolatey Hot Cross Buns

There’s no escaping the fact that January 2021 has officially been the most Januariest January to ever exist. Which means we’re looking for little flickers of joy and magic wherever we can find them, and right now? That’s at an M&S food hall, because Marks and Spencer have just launched Extremely Chocolatey Hot Cross Buns for spring 2021, and they look exactly like everything we never knew we needed.

Costing £1.65 for a pack of four, they’re described as ‘a dark chocolate bun with milk and white chocolate chunks’. Hubba bloody hubba.

We can’t think of anything more handsome than popping one in the toaster during our 3pm sugar craving, smothering it in butter and enjoying it with a cup of tea whilst we frantically reply to emails/throw a clothes wash on/watch Finding Dory for the 187th time on our toddler’s request.

And, just in case you’re looking for something a little bit more classic in the ol’ hot cross bun department, Marks & Spencer also have their Bramley Apple, Luxury and Mini buns in store now too (and available via Ocado).

So if you’re planning on hitting up M&S as part of your essential food shop this week, do yourself a favour and throw these bad boys in the trolley. If hot cross bun season is upon us, surely long mild spring days are only a few blinks away?
