The First Full Moon Of 2021 Is Here: This Is What It Means

With very little to distract us over the past few months, we’ve become increasingly obsessed with the enchanting power of astrology. We now know our moon signs from our rising signs and check our Co-Star apps addictively for horoscope updates. Which is why we were keen to find out exactly what the full moon, on 28th January, has in-store for us.

As it’s the first full moon of the year, it’s known as a ‘Wolf Moon’, which is originally to do with the fact wolves would howl in the midwinter – and this year’s Wolf Moon falls in the fiery sign of Leo, which is typically a time to expect plenty of passion and drama.

Sister’s Village, one of our fave astrology accounts over on the ‘gram says: “This full moon is the time to show up for yourself, have fun, be playful and let go of stress. Leo gives us uplifting energy to show us that everything will be OK.”

“Around this moon your consciousness is heightened. Which guides you towards the things you need to work through, speak up about or let go of. Reflect on what comes through and make steps towards moving forward as a more authentic version of yourself.”

Whilst another fave account, Spirit Daughter, says: “Are you ready for one of the luckiest days of the year? The Full Moon in Leo occurs Thursday, when the Sun will meet Jupiter in the sky and both will oppose the Moon, giving way for magic and potential. The Full Moon is always a powerful time of release and manifestation. With Leo running the show, this Full Moon brings us the opportunity to let go of anything not aligned with our joy and our heart. It’s a time to clarify what feels good to your soul and what adds positive energy into your life.”

What can we say, we’re a little excited. It sounds like it’s going to be just the change of pace we’ve been looking for…

You might have noticed in stories that my nails are completely bare at the moment - I had my last set of gels done in October (bright red in case you were wondering). I did a home removal job and tried to wing it through December with a couple of costs of a cheap festive glitter polish but it kept flaking off the same day I painted them 😅 I haven’t bothered using the at-home gel set I have because #twokids but LORD ALMIGHTY will I be glad to look at my hands and see a bright, shiny rainbow mani looking back at me 😭🙌🏼🌈 Hannah x
