Cor, if 2021 has given us anything so far, it’s been a cracking line-up of crime dramas to feast on during these never-ending lockdown nights. First up, season three of Marcella, and now, season four of Unforgotten (with Line of Duty also confirmed to air within the next month or so). Not bad going, right?
The Unforgotten, for anyone new to the party, follows two London detectives (played by Nicola Walker and Sanjeev Bhaskar) who investigate particularly grim cold cases from the past – it’s gritty and gripping in equal measures.
Season one aired on ITV back in 2015, with season two just afterwards in 2017, and the most recent – the third – back in 2018. Each season deals with a brand new case, and has so far, included six episodes of around 42 minutes. They’re super easy to binge on, and we reckon it’s easily one of the most underrated British crime dramas around. You can find our list of all time faves here.
There’s no clues yet as to what this new series will hold, but Nicola announced when the show would air via her Twitter account yesterday. She tweeted: “#Unforgotten Series 4 coming to @itv later this month”. And also added: “Keep your eyes peeled on @itv for the trailer too”.
If you want a recap or haven’t yet had got utterly hooked on Unforgotten, all three seasons are on Netflix now for your streaming pleasure. Enjoy!
