This Sell-Out Dress Is Perfect For Post-Lockdown Plans

Garden parties with six pals from 29th March. Self-catering staycations from 12th April. And, whisper it, potentially an end to social distancing by 21st June. The end is in sight gang – we can almost taste that Aperol Spritz – and we’re already thinking about our post-lockdown celebratory looks.

Top of our list? New Look’s dreamy sell-out summer dress. Gingham? Tick. Puff sleeves? Tick. Shired front? Tick. Midi hem? Tick! That’s a lot of trends for £29.99, and it’ll take you from park picnic to al-fresco pub lunch to summer wedding (imagine!) with just a switch of accessories.

Available in pink or black, the dress has been in and out of stock more times than Boris’ bedhead has been on our TV recently and is currently sold out. We know, we know, but it’s just too good not to tell you about. Plus, New Look’s dresses buyer has told us that the pink version will be back in stock on 12th April, with two more gingham and two floral versions following in May. Until then, there are a few sizes left in the plain black and blue styles online (currently reduced to £20.99 FYI) or check out our shirred dress edit. Otherwise, the seven-week countdown to our local New Look reopening is ON.

You might have noticed in stories that my nails are completely bare at the moment - I had my last set of gels done in October (bright red in case you were wondering). I did a home removal job and tried to wing it through December with a couple of costs of a cheap festive glitter polish but it kept flaking off the same day I painted them 😅 I haven’t bothered using the at-home gel set I have because #twokids but LORD ALMIGHTY will I be glad to look at my hands and see a bright, shiny rainbow mani looking back at me 😭🙌🏼🌈 Hannah x

We missed the fact that spring is eagerly attempting to make herself known (hello blue skies, flowers and not-as-bitterly-cold days, we see you). But it’s certainly putting a spring (lol) in our step.
