Get Ready: The Simone Rocha x H&M Collab Drops Tomorrow

10/03/2021 by Gemma Yates

From Stella McCartney to Versace (and so many in between) H&M are masters of the high street/high-end collab. Their latest, with London-based Irish designer Simone Rocha, launches at 8am tomorrow and it’s possibly one of our favourites hook-ups yet.

While previous H&M designer collection launch days have seen queues snaking down high streets across the country and in-store bunfights over the most in-demand pieces, lockdown means the Simone Rocha collab is available exclusively online. Don’t let that fool you into thinking you’ve got time for a leisurely browse though – it’s more of an add anything you vaguely like the look of to basket and checkout ASAP situ. Or pay at least three times the price on eBay thirty seconds later.

Pearl Headband, £39.99, Blouse, £49.99, Simone Rocha x H&M

If you’re a fan of Simone’s mainline designs, you’re in for a treat. The H&M collection is a selection of her signature girlish greatest hits – think tulle dresses, puff sleeves, ruffle details and the embellished hair slides that launched a thousand high street dupes. As much a work of art as something to wear, the pieces may not be practical, but they’re the perfect antidote to a lockdown spent in loungewear and a reason to celebrate getting dressed up again. There’s also a ridiculously cute kids collection – the first H&M designer collab to include one – and Simone has made sure sustainability is a key factor, sourcing organic cotton, recycled polyester and a new compostable yarn to create the designs.

Here’s what we’ll be (attempting) to add to basket tomorrow…

There’s also some expert advice from the brilliant @clarebournephysio in there too. Remember, a c-section is major surgery and has a huge effect both physically and emotionally - especially if it wasn’t the birth you’d hoped for - so be kind to yourself, process the emotions and honour what your body has been through ❤️ Link in bio to read.
Dreamy sunlight and daffs to brighten up Monday, b Dreamy sunlight and daffs to brighten up Monday, because this snow/sleet/-1 degrees combo is really not doing it for me this morning. NGL, I’m feeling some serious overwhelm and ALL of the emotions today - think it’s a mix of lockdown restrictions easing (anyone else just not sure they’re ready yet?!) and my last week of training clients before maternity leave starts. Oh, and probably a bit of a sugar comedown from my insane baby shower cake yesterday. Trying to lean into the feelings and remind myself that there is no rush and I can navigate the return to real life on my own terms - as can you. In the meantime, coffee - and regular glances at this smile-inducing snap - are helping. We’ve got this. Gemma 💚💛🧡
