We first saw rumours soaring about the social media sphere last week about a Biscoff ice cream cake (which looks, rather handsomely, a lot like a Vienetta) launching in Iceland, and there’s finally been confirmation that it will in fact be in-store from 24th March. Hello!
The Lotus cake is described by the supermarket as: “A masterpiece of velvety dairy ice cream paired with crunchy Lotus Biscoff biscuits and the original caramelised biscuit spread.” I mean, they’ve got us completely and utterly sold already.
The launch date was confirmed by Instagram account @newfoodsuk, and the cake will cost £3 for 650ml of ice cream cake, making for the perfect spring dessert to enjoy in the garden (or in the park with mates from the 29th March, oi oi).

The almost-Vienetta isn’t the first Biscoff product to launch in supermarkets in 2021 – last month it was reported that their Go Snack Pots (essentially Biscoff spread and breadsticks) would be available in B&M stores.
And, whilst not strictly an official Lotus product, there’s also a new tiramisu from Lidl – called Tiramisu Con Biscotti Speziati – that is supposed to taste exactly like the delicious Belgian cookie.
Lidl said: “Combining the cult favourite flavours of speculoos (think Biscoff, but fancier) with the elegant style of a classic tiramisu, this pud is sure to impress no matter what the occasion.”
Sounds like we have a lot of things to add to our shopping list…
