Woah, Drunk Elephant Is Launching A New AHA Serum

15/03/2021 by Hannah Gale

We’ve got eyes like a hawk when it comes to new beauty releases from our fave skincare brands, so there was no missing the Instagram announcement over the weekend from Drunk Elephant who confirmed a sexy new AHA serum was on its way. YAS!

Described as the ‘cousin’ of their ever popular Protini Polypeptide Cream (a water-gel cream that’s a serious hit of hydration, without clogging pores), the brand new acid is called Protini Powerpeptide Resurf Serum and will feature dark green packaging.

Drunk Elephant said: “This mega-strength serum combines skin-fortifying signal peptides, growth factors, and amino acids with lactic acid for a dramatic improvement in the appearance of skin’s texture, tone, radiance, and bounce.”

Sounds like a bloody miracle worker if you ask us.

If you’ve tried DE’s other infamous acid – T.L.C. Framboos (the one with the hot pink top) – but found it a bit too strong, then their new acid might be the one for you as it’s a gentler formulation that’ll work better with sensitive skin.

There’s no confirmed UK launch date for Protini Serum yet (and no confirmed price – although we reckon somewhere around the £70 mark), but Drunk Elephant have said it will be available on this side of the Atlantic soon. The brand is currently stocked on Cult Beauty, Space NK and as of last week, Boots (you can read our post on best buys here).

We’ll be eagerly awaiting an update in that case.

There’s also some expert advice from the brilliant @clarebournephysio in there too. Remember, a c-section is major surgery and has a huge effect both physically and emotionally - especially if it wasn’t the birth you’d hoped for - so be kind to yourself, process the emotions and honour what your body has been through ❤️ Link in bio to read.
Dreamy sunlight and daffs to brighten up Monday, b Dreamy sunlight and daffs to brighten up Monday, because this snow/sleet/-1 degrees combo is really not doing it for me this morning. NGL, I’m feeling some serious overwhelm and ALL of the emotions today - think it’s a mix of lockdown restrictions easing (anyone else just not sure they’re ready yet?!) and my last week of training clients before maternity leave starts. Oh, and probably a bit of a sugar comedown from my insane baby shower cake yesterday. Trying to lean into the feelings and remind myself that there is no rush and I can navigate the return to real life on my own terms - as can you. In the meantime, coffee - and regular glances at this smile-inducing snap - are helping. We’ve got this. Gemma 💚💛🧡
