It’s hard to imagine a day where we’ll be back to eye-rolling fellow passengers from the security queue at Gatwick airport (obviously you can’t take a litre of face cream in your hand luggage – or maybe you can, it’s been so long, maybe everything’s changed), but we’re already quietly planning our next travel escapes.
Riding high on that list is the new Hoxton hotel which will open in Rome later this year – it’ll be the eight city the hotel chain has set-up shop in, following its successes in places like London, New York, Chicago and Paris.
And from the first photos that have landed online of the new haunt, which is located in the Parioli neighbourhood, it looks like it’s going to be every bit as super cool, Instagrammable and damn delicious as all its predecessors.

With 192 bedrooms, a coffee bar and takeout counter, a big restaurant and an outdoor terrace, the Hoxton Rome was originally planned to open in autumn 2020 but had to be pushed back due to the, y’know… raging global pandemic.
It’s unknown when it will officially open its doors as you can’t quite book a room just yet (there’s four different signature sizes available just FYI: Shoebox, Cosy, Roomy and Biggy) It’s been suggested it may be as soon as spring – but we’ll keep you updated.
With previous new location launches Hoxton has offered a discounted booking rate for early reservations (around £80 a night, compared to more like double that for bookings thereafter), so we’ve got our fingers crossed for something similar this time around.
Bring on the gelato and sunshine!
