From a fresh bowl of prawn and chilli linguine to an indulgent cacio e pepe cheese-fest, our love of pasta knows no bounds. Pregnancy carb cravings, lockdown down days or just, you know, Tuesday night, as far as we’re concerned, pasta is always a good idea.
Of course, our weekly at-home pasta repertoire was more bog-standard mince spag bol than Nonna-style slow-cooked ragu – at least until Pasta Evangelists came along. For the uninitiated, the brand offers a pasta and sauce subscription box, delivering authentic, Italian style eats to your door for you to put together with minimal effort. Or, as Hannah puts it: “Delicious pasta that tastes as if it came straight from an Italian restaurant but takes less than 10 minutes in the kitchen.”

Perfect Pasta at Home by Pasta Evangelists, £16, Amazon
Now, as well their mouthwatering weekly delivery menus – we’re talking nduja sausage and burrata ravioli (so boujee and full of flavour), black truffle mac & cheese and the “carbonara of dreams” – the brand has just announced it is launching a cookbook, Perfect Pasta at Home. Packed with over 80 recipes – none of which take more than 30 minutes to make – this is authentic Italian pasta without the faff. While there is a how-to for making fresh dough from scratch (if you are that person, respect) all of the 10, 20 or 30-minute recipes can also be made using dried pasta, and there’s a ‘Make Your Own’ section offering substitutions so you can use up whatever sorry-looking ingredients are lurking in your fridge.
Released on June 10th, Perfect Pasta at Home is available to pre-order at Pasta Evangelists and Amazon now for £16 instead of £20. Trust us, your post-lockdown, dinner party-throwing self will thank you for adding this one to your cookbook collection.
