George at Asda Jean Sales Are Up 600% – And We Can See Why

26/03/2021 by Gemma Yates

2 Min Read

It approximately 358 days since we ditched our daily denim for lockdown loungewear and, with restrictions lifting imminently, we’re seriously ready to get back into our go-to blues. It seems we’re not the only ones either, with supermarket brand George at Asda reporting a whopping 600% surge in jeans sales compared to this time last year.

Whilst George wouldn’t usually be our first stop for jean shopping, we noticed they were doing great things in the denim department during a recent virtual window shop for the Leopard List when the brand’s dreamy puff-sleeved denim shirt caught our eye. From mom jeans (the style proving most popular with George shoppers) to midi dresses, there are plenty of denim updates on offer, with prices starting from just £12.50 and sizes ranging from 8-24. Alongside staple skinnies and the bestselling moms’, you’ll find directional jean cuts like balloon, 90s wide leg and a ridiculously comfy looking elasticated waist pair – perfect if you’re already anticipating loungewear withdrawal symptoms.

Styles are selling fast, so add to basket or plan an Asda pilgrimage for a denim refresh in time for all the (six-person) fun you’ll be having on Easter weekend.

There’s also some expert advice from the brilliant @clarebournephysio in there too. Remember, a c-section is major surgery and has a huge effect both physically and emotionally - especially if it wasn’t the birth you’d hoped for - so be kind to yourself, process the emotions and honour what your body has been through ❤️ Link in bio to read.
Dreamy sunlight and daffs to brighten up Monday, b Dreamy sunlight and daffs to brighten up Monday, because this snow/sleet/-1 degrees combo is really not doing it for me this morning. NGL, I’m feeling some serious overwhelm and ALL of the emotions today - think it’s a mix of lockdown restrictions easing (anyone else just not sure they’re ready yet?!) and my last week of training clients before maternity leave starts. Oh, and probably a bit of a sugar comedown from my insane baby shower cake yesterday. Trying to lean into the feelings and remind myself that there is no rush and I can navigate the return to real life on my own terms - as can you. In the meantime, coffee - and regular glances at this smile-inducing snap - are helping. We’ve got this. Gemma 💚💛🧡
