Big news in the Aldi candle world (which is a world reserved for die-hard Aldi shoppers who bloody love their budget Jo Malone-dupe candles), because one of their most popular limited edition scents has just arrived back in-store three years after it was last spotted on shelves.
A big hug, wave and welcome back to Peony Blush, who smells like spring – all fresh, crisp florals – and costs just £3.99 for a 335g candle (which from experience will last you a good week or two of evening burn-time). It comes with a pale pink label, and joins the likes of Aldi’s regulars in their No. 1 Hotel Collection line-up: Pomegranate and Lime, Basil & Mandarin.
According to Google, the Peony Blush scent was last seen in 2018, where it was released at various points in the year and sold out. It was so popular that the scent was also released as a diffuser, a body lotion and a hand soap. Lovely.
For anyone unable to get to an Aldi store to snap up one of the limited edtion candles, you can buy them (at a premium, obvs) via Amazon.
The supermarket also released a series of £8.99 larger candles as part of a May SpecialBuys event which come in three scents: ‘Peach, Cyclamen and Soft Amber’, ‘Tuberose, Cashmere and Ylang-Ylang’ and ‘Pink Pepper, Rose, Amber and Leather.’
Better keep ya eyes peeled…
