We’ve long seen the piles of Aldi beauty dupes lined up in the infamous middle aisle, but we’ve never known which products – if any – were as good as the real deal. But it seems there’s one moisturiser in the budget Lacura range that everyone’s desperate to get their hands on, and that’s the Caviar Illuminating Day Cream (and the Night Cream counterpart too).
The £6.99 skincare hero is so popular with shoppers that in 2020 more than 36,000 litres of it were sold – that’s more than one pot per minute. It’s even racked up more than 100 5-star reviews online with reviewers saying: “The cream seems thick but it’s actually really light on the skin it works well under make-up too” and “I love this cream, my skin feels great and it’s such good value.”
We’re sold.
The Day Cream is in stock online at the time of writing this. And, whilst the Night Cream is currently in-store only, there is a £3.99 pack of sheet masks available online which are also part of the range.
Aldi describe their outrageously popular moisturiser as “the perfect way to start the day” and that it is “light in texture and full of luxurious ingredients”. It also includes SPF 15, making it a great double duty skincare product.
