Big news just coming in from the world of Christmas chocolate (we know, we know, it’s only July, but really…is there ever a time you’re not kind of thinking about the joy of giant festive confectionery tins?), and that’s the announcement that Nestle have gone and replaced one of the chocs in Quality Street.
Woah. Which one you ask? Well brace yourself, because it’s… the Chocolate Caramel Brownie. The turquoise-wrapped choc has been in the iconic tin for just two years, but Quality Street announced the departure via their social media accounts.
They said: “Attention. Is the Chocolate Caramel Brownie your favourite? If so, you’d better sit down. We have some news. After two years in the tin, our Limited Edition Chocolate Caramel Brownie will be leaving the Street. The good news is, we’re giving you prior warning! You’ll be able to stock up on your favourites when our Quality Street web shop opens again in September!”.
There’s no news yet as to what will be replacing the chocolate, although if I have my way it’d obviously be a Turkish delight (still not over Milk Tray ditching them a few years back – livid).
Anyway, we’ll report back as soon as there’s more news so you can start plotting which branded tub you’ll be snapping up first come December – or, ahem, November.
