After the past 18 months there’s no denying that every single one of us could do with a proper bit of R&R away from a) our homes b) our kids and c) life in general, so we thought we’d share with you the top 10 UK most instagrammable spas. The places which not only help you switch off, but look bloody cute too (y’know, just in case you wanted to take a photo or 300…).
The list has been compiled by Heidi Klein Swimwear, and is ranked based on which UK spa destinations have been tagged in the most posts on Instagram.
We hope it helps you find somewhere utterly wonderful to unwind!
Soho Farmhouse

Set in 100 acres of delicious Oxfordshire countryside is Soho Farmhouse which is part of the iconic Soho House portfolio. You have to be a member, or at least know a member to book in – but we’ve all seen the gloriously outdoors-y wooden cabins on Instagram, complete with bikes, fairylights, cinema and an indoor-outdoor pool. Heaven.
The Ned

Another Soho House property – this time in the City of London, built within a former bank building. It opened in 2017 and boasts nine restaurants, indoor and rooftop pools as well as a hammam. The location puts it within a good location to explore London and have a classic city break without leaving the UK.
Stoke Park

Located west of London and just outside of Slough is Stoke Park, a five-star hotel with decadent spa facilities (although they’re being revamped from August 2021). Set within a 1,000 year old estate is The Pavillion – a separate building which homes the hotel’s spa (as well as some of the guest bedrooms). You’ll find a swimming pool, outdoor Scandinavian sauna, steam rooms and a nail bar amongst other relaxing amenities.
Rudding Park

Just outside Harrogate in Yorkshire is Rudding Park which boasts various spa experiences including a Roof Top Spa (the more social space with hydrotherapy and thermal options) and the Escape Zone which is exactly as the name suggests. There’s options to stay overnight, just do a spa day or swing in for afternoon tea.
Pennyhill Park

Located in Bagshot, just over an hour outside of London by train, is Pennyhill Park. Set across 120 acres of Surrey parkland is the five-star hotel complete with stunning spa. It’s kitted out to be a glorious retreat in both summer and winter and includes a range of indoor and outdoor pools and jacuzzis as well as thermal cabins.
Serenity Spa

Based at Seaham Hall in Durham is the indulgent and calm oasis of Serenity Spa. Drawing influence from Far Eastern healing and wellness rituals, the spa offers hollistic rituals alongside a 20m pool with massage stations, hammam, salt saunas, outdoor hot tubs and more.
Chewton Glen

Chewton Glen is most famed for its treehouses, but the 5-star Hampshire hotel also has a swoon-worthy spa on site. They offer twilight spa packages for evening relaxation as well as traditional spa days, and facilities include a newly-refurbished indoor pool as well as jacuzzis and outdoor whirlpool.
Shangri-La

Based on the 52nd floor of the iconic Shard building in Central London, the Shangri-La boasts panoramic views of the city skyline. There’s a pool and sauna on-site as well as wellness packages and treatments that are available for guests to book.
