There are some baby and toddler buys that are iconic across social media and mum groups alike and for one reason: they’re bloody good. There’s the Babyzen YOYO stroller, the BABYJORN bouncer, and of course Stokke’s Tripp Trapp high chair.
It’s famed for being so great because not only does it give a nod to chic Scandi design (and tbh, baby and kid stuff rarely goes with your interiors so it’s a huge pull when it does), but it grows with your kid – working as a dining table bassinet from newborn to an actual chair later on.
The only downside? Its hefty price tag. Because unless you’re perusing the good old pages of Facebook Marketplace (and honestly, there are a lot of second hand styles on there), the Tripp Trapp will set you back the best part of £200.
Anyway, the point of this story is to tell you that Aldi have just released their own dupe version of the popular highchair, costing just £52.99.
It comes in two colours – grey and classic wood – and is a buy online only item, meaning you won’t be able to scout it out in your local store.
There’s no word on how good the quality is, but Aldi’s description says that it ‘grows with the child’ so we can only assume the design is similar and will work in the same way as the original Stokke version.
