If you’re still looking for something the fill the Big Little Lies-shaped void in your viewing schedule, we’ve got good news. Nine Perfect Strangers airs on Amazon Prime Video tomorrow night, Friday 20th August, and it’s set to be every bit as gripping. Based on the book of the same name by author Liane Moriarty (who also wrote Big Little Lies) Nine Perfect Strangers follows nine stressed-out city dwellers who sign up for a little r’n’r at a bouji health and wellness retreat run by businesswoman Masha, played by Nicole Kidman, but nothing is as it seems.

The initial schedule of hikes, therapy and meditation seems normal enough, but soon the guests begin to question Masha’s increasingly controversial healing methods. The storyline is slightly bonkers, but will make for a brilliant watch, especially with Melissa McCarthy and Luke Evans on board and Kidman’s Big Little Lies and The Undoing collaborator David E. Kelley in the producer’s chair.
You can watch the first three of eight episodes tomorrow, with the rest dropping every Friday. Cancel all plans: this is TV worth staying in for.
