We’re currently drumming our fingers whilst waiting for a handful of our TV faves to finally land back on Netflix with brand new episodes: Stranger Things, Sex Education, The Bold Type, and of course, Penn Badgley’s creepy thriller You.
The second season saw stalker Joe move to LA with hopes for a fresh start, before meeting his equal in Love Quinn. Whilst the dramatic ending revealed that Love was ahem, less than innocent, we were desperate to find out what happened next to the twisted pair. And the good news is that we don’t have to wait long as season three will be landing on the streaming service on October 15th 2021.
Netflix announced the date alongside a teaser trailer of the latest season which they shared on their YouTube channel. In it Joe is baking and decorating a cake whilst talking to the son he shares with Love – he reveals the baby’s name by icing it on the cake.
The series is loosely inspired by Caroline Kepnes’s best-selling book You (and the follow-up, Hidden Bodies). A third book, You Love Me, was released earlier this year and Caroline is currently working on a fourth, meaning it’s likely there’ll be more seasons of the TV adaption to binge-watch in the future.
Looks like we’ve got something to add to the autumn watch list…
