We’re always looking for quick, easy ways to liven up the dreaded midweek dinner time rut, so our interest was well and truly piqued when we learned that Jamie Oliver had teamed up with Tesco to create a new dine-in meal deal that focuses on tray bakes.
Uh huh, you read that right. The new 123 Traybake range contains three different components (a Base, a Hero, and a Sauce) and will cook in just one oven tray which means you’ll be drastically cutting down washing-up time.
The new meal deal costs £8 for Clubcard members and is designed to cook within half an hour and feed a family of four, whilst also including two portions of fruit and veg per person.
There are different options for the Base, Hero and Sauce products, with choices for vegans and vegetarians also available. You’ll find things like lentil and bean pasta, lemon and herb salmon and beef and vegetable meatballs, alongside sweet and smokey wedges, pork chipolatas and veggie rice.
Sounds like we’ll have to add something to the online food order and report back immediately…
