When we asked you lot what your favourite ever Netflix originals were, Virgin River came up time and time again (along with Sex Education and Stranger Things, obvs). So when we spied that it had been renewed for another two seasons – four and five – we knew we had to let you know.
I’ll be honest, I’m yet to dive into romantic drama but it keeps popping up on my Netflix recommendations and I’m desperate to give it a go (just as soon as I’m fully caught up on the five other shows on my current TV viewing backlog).
The third season of Virgin River arrived on the streaming service earlier this summer, and like seasons one and two (which came out in 2019 and 2020, respectively) is based on the novel series of the same name by Robyn Carr.
The drama stars a nurse who moves to a new town for a fresh start and from then small town life spirals into what I have heard is ultimate comfort viewing. Which sounds pretty perfect as we head into autumn, right?
There’s no news yet as to when the two new seasons of Virgin River will arrive, but given that there’s been a season a year since the show first premiered, we’re pretty hopeful that there’s a swift turnaround and 2022 might just have something to offer us…
