The only thing better than a hot, buttery crumpet on a cold winter’s day? A hot, buttery Christmas tree–shaped crumpet. Pardon the niche news story here, but if you know about these delightful festive baked goods, you know.
Whatever your choice of topping (we’re butter purists, FYI), there’s something ridiculously comforting about a crumpet. And when it comes in the form of a Christmas tree, it’s impossible not to feel a child-like festive joy as you chow down. Morrisons, Marks & Spencer and Asda currently have Christmas tree-shaped crumpets available to buy online and in-store, and in previous years we’ve spotted them in the Co-Op and Aldi, so it’s definitely worth keeping an eye out next time you’re browsing the bread aisle. During our festive crumpet research we also spied reindeer-shaped treats at Asda and some ridiculously indulgent-sounding mince pie Christmas crumpets from Not On the High Street. At £27.50 for a pack of 12, they’re definitely more of a decadent Christmas Day brekkie option, but if you can’t go all out at Christmas, when can you?
