It’s a big month for vegans (or honorary Veganuary vegans) everywhere because January is the month that some of our favourite fast food companies step up their offering and launch brilliant plant-based alternatives on their menu. And this year? Well, this year Domino’s have entered the arena with their brand new Vegan PepperoNAY pizza. Oo-er!
The pizza company announced the new addition to their menu via their social media accounts. They said: “Peppery slices seasoned with paprika. This changes everything. Including your order.”
The Vegan PepperoNAY is available for takeaway now and features faux pepperoni slices which are made from soya and wheat, as produced by The Vegetarian Butcher.
The pizza is available from £17.99 and comes on either the Classic Crust or the Italian Style Crust alongside Domino’s own-brand tomato sauce and a vegan cheese alternative.
Other vegan menu additions which have arrived in the UK this month include the return of KFC’s much loved Vegan Burger which disappeared from the majority of menus last year (it remained in selected restaurants) which is now back nationwide, as well as two new vegan sandwich options at Subway – the Tastes Like Chicken and Tastes Like Steak.
There’s also vegan Babybels, a new range of vegan Krispy Kremes and two new vegan milk alternatives launching at Lidl.
There’s never been a better time to try and reduce your animal produce intake…
