Most of us will fall into one of two groups of people: the people who live and die by McDonald’s breakfast and those who, well, have never eaten it. If you’re in the former then you might want to sit down because the fast food chain have just announced that they’ll be axing two items from their pre-11am menu.
The McMuffins are safe. The coffees are safe. The pancakes are safe. The bagels and wraps? Not so safe.
In a statement announced via their social channels, McDonald’s said: “Despite speculation and following a trial separation period, breakfast bagels and breakfast wraps will not be returning to the menu. We adore each other deeply but our love for the iconic McMuffin was simply too hard to ignore”.
“As for the rumours that there will be a new breakfast bae on the scene later this year… no comment” they added.
It now means that the McDonald’s breakfast menu will be limited to McMuffins, pancakes, bacon rolls and the bacon and cheese flatbread.
Whilst we mourn the loss of two iconic breakfast heroes we’ll patiently await news of whatever this new bae might be…
