There’s no doubt that you’ve seen the iconic Loewe basket bag popping up over and over again on your social media feeds over the past few years. The straw bag, which features an instantly recognisable tan leather square patch and handles has been the summer bag to be seen with. So it’s a bloody wonderful decision by high street faves Marks & Spencer to design a super similar version for SS22 that costs just a fraction of that beefy designer price tag. Their Handmade Straw Tote Bag comes in at £39.50 and has all the tan leather details, making it a dead ringer for the popular Loewe version.
It also features a canvas lining to make it extra practical, as well as an inside zip pocket for all those v important things that often get lost at the bottom of a straw bag (looking at you, house keys).
The bag is currently available to buy online via the M&S website and may also be available in stores although currently looks as though it’s not in stock in the majority of locations.
Team the high street bag with a loose midi dress and a pair of strappy sandals and you’re good to go. Bring on sunshine holidays!
