It’s been one of the most hotly anticipated releases on Netflix maybe, well… ever, and we now have confirmation of exactly when season four will debut on the TV streaming site.
Due to the fact the upcoming season is almost twice as long as seasons 1,2 and 3 it will be released in two volumes. The first will arrive on Netflix on 27th May, whilst the second will be just behind it on the 1st of July. Meaning you won’t be able to binge the entirety of it in one solid weekend which we reckon can only be a good thing.
The fourth season will be Stranger Things’ penultimate one as the fifth season will be the show’s last. The Duffer brothers, who created the hit programme, penned a letter to fans which they shared via social media.
In it they admitted that the new season has been ‘the most challenging season yet, but also the most rewarding one’. Due to the pandemic it’s taken nearly two years to film and there’s been a gap of three years since season three aired.
Better get 27th May in the diary…
