With the cost of living squeezing us more than ever (thanks, 2022 you charmer) we’re finding ways to bag a bargain however we can. Which is why the Post Office’s annual report into the cheapest holiday destinations across the globe was a much welcomed read.
The report found that if you’re looking for European sunshine then Bulgaria and Turkey are your cheapest bets. The Post Office compared destinations by looking at the cost for meals, drinks and other essential items us Brits are most likely to buy abroad.
These included things like the cost of a three-course evening meal for two with wine, a cup of coffee, a bottle of beer, a Coca-Cola, a glass of wine, a large bottle of water, sun cream and insect repellent.
The report also found that Barbados, Iceland and Dubai were the most expensive places to buy food and drink whilst abroad. You can read the full report here.
