If you’re in the market for a glorious long weekend full of Mr Whippys, fish and chips, and – fingers crossed – some of that brilliant yet rare British sunshine, then you’ll love the latest stats to come from Which? who have just released their annual data on the most popular UK seaside towns for a holiday.
The consumer website asked 4,303 of their users to rate destinations based on things like local attractions, the beach, the peace and quiet and the value for money. And, the top 10 list included places in Scotland and Wales, as well as in the south and north.
The top spot? It went to Bamburgh in Northumberland which is between Newcastle upon Tyne and the Scottish border. It also took the Which? title is 2019 and 2021, mostly due to its bloody heavenly sandy beaches.
