Whether you want to be a journalist, stylist, designer or buyer, breaking into the fashion industry is notoriously tough. Now, British fashion brand Hush is giving emerging talent a leg up by launching their first ever “intern collection.”
The 9-piece range has been designed by Hush’s intern cohort, a group of next-gen talent working across the design, buying, merchandising, garment technology, sustainability and marketing departments. During a year-long paid programme, the group led the creative process from start to finish, resulting in a collection of easy-to-wear wardrobe staples that combine classic silhouettes with bold prints and vibrant colors. As part of the scheme, each of the five interns were given hands-on experience in their respective department, as well as a chance to see how multiple teams work together to create a successful fashion brand.

Hush’s intern cohort: Issy – Design, Meg – Sustainability, Kadesha – Garment Tech, Naomi – Merchandising, and Olivia – Buying.
As well as nurturing the future of fashion, Hush will contribute 20% of profits from the intern collection to Hackney Empire’s Creative Futures Programme, an initiative that supports local young artists and creatives.
The intern collection is available to shop now. Here’s our favourite pieces…
