The only thing we want to wear when it’s this hot outside? Dresses. Specifically loose, wafty dresses made from 100% cotton. And – bold claim incoming – we think we might have found the best one on the high street right now.
The dress in question is F&F’s sell-out £16 midi. Ticking all the above boxes, it’s cut in a roomy smock shape, topped with a cute shirred neckline and comes in three colours – black, white and pink – and two prints – lemon and floral.
After seeing it on my best mate at the weekend, I went straight to my local Tesco to nab the black one – I’d been searching for a simple, classic dress I’d pull out every summer, and can confirm that this one feels and looks way more premium than its supermarket price tag. Unsurprisingly, given said price tag, it’s proving to be pretty popular – the black is currently completely sold out online, and there are only a few sizes left in the other colours and prints.
Each dress is available in sizes 6-22, but it’s worth noting that it does come up roomy. Tesco didn’t have my size so I went down one and it fits perfectly. Just add sandals and sunnies et voilà, the perfect heatwave outfit.
